KING SOLOMON’S SONG

In Uncategorized on 09/02/2025 at 15:34

Judge Elizabeth A. (“Tex”) Copeland downplays the Song of Solomon 8:6 tune, ruling that even death is less strong than Rule 90 Requests for Admissions when Dixieland Boondockery is in play.

FBA St. Clair Property C, LLC, Jeffrey L. Smith, Partnership Representative, Docket No. 14406-23, filed 9/2/25, objects to a RFA that seeks information of the boondocking activities of the late Mr. F in deals other than this one. As Mr. F is deceased the C-Clairs say they can’t fully answer.

Judge Tex Copeland won’t have it.

“…the fact that Mr. F is deceased does not mean that St. Clair C does not have, or cannot obtain, responsive information to RFA 2 about his involvement in other conservation easement transactions. Accordingly, the Commissioner is entitled to a more direct answer to his requests.” Order, at p. 3. (Name omitted).

Tax Court discovery o’ercrows even more exalted authority.
