I have occasion today to reflect upon Billy Yeats (who didn’t make it this far, regrettably). He bestowed upon us “a terrible beauty.”

Today, especially today, Bill really got this one right.

“An aged man is but a paltry thing/ a tattered coat upon a stick unless/ soul clap its hands and sing and louder sing/ for every tatter in its mortal dress.”
